|Stall/Upset Recognition and Recovery|
Notice of Proposed Rule Making Due: 8/1/11
Final Rule Due: 08/01/13
Description: Requires FAA Administrator to conduct rulemakings that require all part 121 air carriers to provide stall/upset recognition and recovery pilot training. Also forms a multidisciplinary panel to report on stick pusher and weather event training.
Status: The FAA has addressed this requirement for much more detailed guidelines for stall/upset recognition and recovery training in its Crew Member Training Part N&O rulemaking, and we are hopeful that this final rule will be issued as expeditiously as possible.
