My thoughts and prayers go out to the families and friends of the victims of Flight 3407. It is still surreal to me that a tragedy like this could happen in our small town, just minutes away from my home. Please take comfort in the fact that your loved ones will never be forgotten. It is the morning of February 13th...I just listened to the interview on KDKA channel 2 out of Pittsburgh... in regards to Flight 3407. My sympathy is extended to all that have so tragically lost a loved one in that horrible crash. I for 7 years spent time as a flight attendant with Continental Express 50 seater jets. Everytime there is a crash it is ALWAYS considered PILOT ERROR!! PLEASE PLEASE if you haven't already done this check into how many hours in a day a Pilot can fly. I have been up on STAND UP OVERNIGHTS and it's just exactly what it is. You fly, get in less than 8 hours of sleep and right back on the aircraft. We are talking from the time you park the aircraft, all the people off the aircraft, wait for a shuttle to your hotel. How many people get off work and go right to bed, I know I can't. Then you are right back at the airport first thing in the morning. IT'S ALL ABOUT THE MONEY!! AND IT'S ALWAYS PILOT ERROR. I am positive when mishaps and tragic accidents take place with the airlines...there are ways of covering up. What about the accident in Kentucky, I don't have all my facts I shouldn't even proceed but again...PILOT ERROR. Although AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL only had one person in the tower and the pilot traveled down the wrong runway and lights that were not properly working... I am not saying the pilots do not need more hours, I agree with you!! One thing is for certain check into sleep they do not receive. I am sure if you could have the word from people that were working in the airlines now, without them losing their jobs you would get a better picture. Again I am sorry for your loss...I really would like to see and hear of ONLY good things come from your perseverance!!

I am so sorry for your loss, and want to thank you for standing up to the "understood status quo" when it comes to pilot fatigue & the airlines placing greater value on the dollar than human life; things get the way they are due to slow desensitization - my heart breaks for you all and I pray God will bless your efforts to wake up the ones who can do something about it. Thank you for your efforts to increase pilot training. I travel alot for my job and am always amazed at the number of customers traveling every day, and I feel it is absolutely necessary to have pilots who can receive proper training. Robin, Jennifer, and your other flight 3407 family members and friends, my heart still has not healed for the wonderful perople on that flight. There is hardly a day that goes by that I don't remember Darren, Ernie, Jerry and Steve. I will wear red tomorrow, I will turn my porch lights on and I will walk the memorial walk in memory of my 4 co-workers. I have sent my letters to the senators and the president as you suggested. I cannot imagine your hurt. I thank you for your endeavors for flight safety. I am banning flying because I cannot feel safe any longer - knowing what I know now because of your efforts in your fight for airline safety. Flight 3407 from Newark to Buffalo crashed one year ago, taking the lives of all 49 people on board plus one person on the ground. The victims included Dawn Monachino and Jennifer Neill, and Jennifer’s unborn son. Jen and Dawn were traveling home from a business meeting I hosted in Newark. They were both bright young women on top of their game, and both spent the last two days of their lives among a small group of colleagues who had become very close friends. I sent them off on a shuttle to the airport knowing they were safe, but as we all know, nobody on that plane or on the ground under its path was safe. Despite intense efforts by the victims’ families not enough has been done to make us safer. The crash of Flight 3407 was no accident. It reveals a deep systemic failure, and under the status-quo it is likely to happen again. The families of flight 3407 need your help to change the status-quo. How anxious we were, the minute the flight was mentioned on the screen, we could not wait to see him. Every second that passed we felt more and more anxious. The moment we over heard what had happened, we did not want to believe. A part of us died that day, and even though we cannot compare your loss to ours, but we can surely say we are feeling what you might be.... we will alway be there for you.
